Surrounded by the love of her daughters, Marcia Jane Ferguson has passed peacefully on December 15th, 2025 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital at the age of 79. Marcia and her husband, John (Jack) Ferguson is now reunited once again.
Marcia was born on December 23, 1945 to the late Bill and Irene (nee Moore) Kemp of Milltown Cross, PEI.
She will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Sally (Kent Cooke) and Vanessa.
Marcia leaves behind her adored grandchildren, Sam (Michaela) Ferguson and Garrett Cooke, her great grandchild Libby, as well her loving dogs Jack and Tator.
She is survived by her brother, Billy Kemp (Sue), sister-in-law, Pauline Ings (Robert-deceased).
In addition to her parents and her husband, Marcia was predeceased by her sister Sybil (Paul Dewar), brother-in-law, Gordon Ferguson, and niece, Kelly Ann Ings.
She leaves behind multiple nieces and nephews, Mark Ings, David Dewar, Darlene Kornelson, Karen Jain, Darren Dewar, Iris Kemp, and Douglas Kemp. Grandnieces and grandnephews, John David Dewar, Jeremy Dewar, and Stan Dewar, Ethan Dewar, and Carter Dewar, Pryia Jain, Devesh Jain, and Devika Jain and as well as many more cousins to list.
Longtime family friends, Jean MacBeth, Nancy Kelly, Freda and Eric MacKinnon, Bill McIntyre and his daughter Alana (both Virginia, USA).
Marcia is resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where her Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, December 22 in the Belvedere Reception Centre from 4-6 p.m. This service will be livestreamed and may be viewed via the following link Livestream.
