It is with heavy hearts and appreciation for a life well lived, the family of Margaret Jane MacNevin, wife of the late George Hector MacNevin, formerly of Canoe Cove, announces her passing which occurred on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Whisperwood Villa. Born in New Haven, PE on May 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Brewer and Sarah (MacFadyen) Boyle. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son David Kent MacNevin, grandson Daryl Aiken and son-in-law Alistair Aiken.

She is survived by her children Marlene Aiken, Linda Smith (Rick), Keith MacNevin (Ruth), Blair MacNevin (Linda) and Dennis MacNevin (Shelly); grandchildren Jamie (Kelley), Peter (Michelle), Alison (Peter), Charlotte, Christina (Cleigh), Amanda (Neil), Joel (Kelsey), Jeremy (Laura), Andrew (Becky), Jennifer (Steven), Ashley and Jake; granddaughter-in-law Vanessa Aiken; 32 great grandchildren; sister Eileen Saunders and many nieces and nephews.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, from where the visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13 from 4-7 p.m. Her funeral service will be held from Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 14 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Argyle Shore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital or the Free Church of Scotland.

The family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful care Mom received by the staff at Whisperwood Villa over the past 15 ½ years.
