Mark James Thistle

It is with heavy hearts and an appreciation for a life well lived that the family of Mark Thistle announces his passing which occurred at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at the age of 88 years.  Beloved husband of 63 years to Betty (nee Fall). He was predeceased by his parents, James and Mary Thistle; brothers, John, Joe, and Claud; sisters, Lillian Quevillon, Cecelia Dowling, and Mary Long. He will be fondly remembered by his children, Linda (Kevin) McKenna, Lisa (Jeff) McNamee, and Robert (Cindy) MacGregor. He was the dear grandfather of Hunter McNamee (Veronica), Tanner McNamee, Nolan McKenna (Danielle), and Caitlin McKenna, and great-grandfather of Marlee McNamee. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Sylvia and Ginny Thistle, and brother-in-law Lester Fall.

Mark was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion of Charlottetown and the Parkdale Sherwood Lions Club.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where visitation will take place on Friday, August 18th from 4-6 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 19th at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the PEI Atlantic Baptist Home or a charity of your choice.
