It is with heavy hearts and appreciation for a life well lived, the family of Mary Valerie Hannah (McLellan) (MacIntyre) Auld, announces her passing, which occurred on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home.
Born in Summerside, PEI, on September 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William and Pearl (Smith) McLellan. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband John “Jack” MacIntyre, second husband Edison Auld; son David MacIntyre; siblings Everett McLellan (Audrey), Ruth Forth (Kenneth), Ira McLellan (Doris), Ivan McLellan (Zelda), Edith Higgins (Hensley), Helen MacLean (Malcolm), Marion Bearista (Attlee) and William McLellan (Roberta).
She is survived by her daughters Cathy Stewart (George) and Anne MacLean (Roger); daughter-in-law Joy MacIntyre; step-children Heather McCulloch (David), George Auld (Neila) and Errol Auld (Betty); 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Wednesday, December 11 from 3-6 p.m. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 12 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Kingston United Cemetery. Remembrances in memory of Mary may be made to the MS Society, Canadian Diabetes or the Winsloe United Church Building Fund.
