Mary Rush Obituary

With gratitude for a life well lived, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Doris Rush (Hagan) on July 1st, 2026, at the Provincial Palliative Care Center.  Beloved wife of the late Richard Rush, loving mother of Dean (Wendy), and Darren (Marilyn), and adoring Nana to Holden and Ethan.  Mom will be missed by her brother Emmett Hagan, brothers-in-law Brian Rush and Wendell Deagle (Yvonne), sister-in-law Noreen Rush, and fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Kathleen (Hughes) Hagan; siblings Mark Hagan and Anne Marie Cusack, brothers-in-law; Merrill and Kenneth Rush, sisters-in-law; Joan Deagle and Irene Rush.   Mom was blessed with many friendships, especially those shared with Len/Della, Paula (AKA - Burdock), and Gail/Joe.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home.  No visitation by personal request. Funeral Mass at Holy Redeemer Church on Monday, July 6th, 2026 at 10:30 am with reception to follow at the Jack Blanchard Hall.

The family extends heartfelt thanks Dr. Keith Baglole the staff at both the Provincial Palliative Care Center and Unit 1 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for their compassion and exceptional care during Mom’s illness.

Just as she nurtured her garden, Mary cultivated a vibrant community of friends and family, always making everyone feel deeply loved and welcomed, and will be greatly missed for all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
