Mary Beatrice (Bea) Kelly

Surrounded by her family Mary Beatrice “Bea” Kelly passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on April 13th, 2025 at the age of 78 years. The beloved wife of the late John Patrick Kelly, and daughter of the late Edna and Charles Murphy and Lena DesRoches. Daughter-in-law to the late Patrick and Mary Ellen Kelly. 

Left to mourn this beautiful soul are daughters Lynn (Kendell) Palmer and Paula, son Charlie “Chuck” (Danielle) and grandchildren Coady Palmer (Ashley Fox), Rebecca, Emily, Amy (Tanner Perry), Traeha, and Shaun (deceased) Kelly along with great granddaughters Kenzy Northrop and Brooklyn Palmer.

Along with many, many surviving and predeceased sisters, brothers, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews along with their families whom she all loved dearly.

She had a smile that would light up the room, she was so lovely, kind, caring, compassionate, humble and giving to all that she knew or didn't personally know!!

She was a nurse by trade and loved her profession, but put it aside to be home with her three children (and many others throughout the years) to support her husband's career as a Charlottetown Airport Authority employee here and at one point in Newfoundland up until his retirement where they spent his remaining years with great friends, family camping, and any country or bluegrass festival they could find. She loved people, Christmas, reading, sewing, the color red and especially her family and she made sure everyone knew it.

She will be missed is an understatement and her family would like to personally thank her truly amazing friends, the nurses, and all the staff at the QEH and PEI healthcare, especially Dr. Ian Gallant who always went above and beyond for her and they will all be eternally grateful.

There will be no arrangements as per personal request but donations can be made in her honor to Pat and the Elephant, Parkdale Sherwood Lions Club, along with spending every day you have being kind, as this world needs more Bea’s.
