It is with heavy hearts, the family of Master Warrant Officer (retired) Gordon “Gordie” Batt, announce the passing which occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the QEH on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Gordie proudly served Canada with a distinguished 30 year career in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
He is survived by his loving wife Gloria (Kennedy), Dad Gordie to Randy Sellar (Carol), John Sellar (Jenny), Nancy MacArthur (Sherwyn). Grampie Gordie to Josh, Tyler, Matt, JK, Jody, Luke, Kayti, Kyle, Keisha, Brandon, Bailey, and Brodie. Great Grampie to 21 Great Grandchildren. Dear brother to Lillian Kennedy (Nelson), Philip (Linda), brother-in-law to Christie (Polly Batt) and many special nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Vivian & Gordon and brother George.
Care has been entrusted to Belvedere funeral home, with visitation on Thursday, May 8, from 4:00 – 7:00, and Funeral Service in Belvedere Chapel on Friday, May 9, at 3:30.
