Matthew Everett Welsh

It is with heavy hearts and tear-filled eyes that the family of Matthew Everett Welsh of Warren Grove, announces his peaceful passing while in the arms of his family at Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at the young age of 31 years.

Matthew was born October 19th, 1992 and was the beloved son of Susan Dixon and Fabian Welsh. He was the best big brother of Jennifer and proud loving uncle of Eileigh. Matt is survived by his girlfriend Amber and her daughter Olivia, fur babies Luna and Calii, and by many special aunts, uncles and cousins.  

Matthew was predeceased by his grandparents, Grammy Helen and Walter Welsh, Velma and Eldon Dixon, Uncle Hal, and Uncle Percy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 24th at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Donations in Matthew’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the PEI Humane Society, or a charity that assists those with mental health and addictions.
