It is with deep sadness that the family of Melissa Marie Burke announces her passing, surrounded by the love of her family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, October 10th, 2024. Melissa was born on July 18th, 1991 to Gordon and Charlotte (nee MacDonald) Burke.

Melissa will be dearly missed by her children, Beau Cooper and Meadowe Burke. She is survived by her siblings, Crystal Burke and Brodie Burke; her grandparents, James and Claire (nee MacCormack) MacDonald as well as Wayne and Lillian (nee Townshend) Burke; and her niece and nephew, Reagan Burke and Raffe Burke. She will also be fondly remembered by Josh Cooper (father of Meadowe and Beau).

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where a private family visitation and funeral service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in the People’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Melissa’s memory to Meadowe and Beau’s Education Fund. Cheques can be made out to First Mechanical.
