Michael Moore Ross

Mike Ross, age 83, of Stratford, passed away at the QEH, on September 7, 2023, with his cherished wife Kaye, by his side.  Mike was predeceased, in 2004, by his first wife Annie (Anderson), the mother of their loving and devoted children, son Mikey, Stratford and daughter Julie (Haven) Mason of West Vancouver.  His precious grandchildren, Cole and Miller Ross; Ben and Taylor Mason.  Survived by his brother David (his partner in story telling) and wife Susan, of North Vancouver, BC; his amazing sister, Judy Crosland and husband Duayne of Chipman Brook, NS; Brother-in-law, Vince DiNorcia (Linda deceased) of Barrie, ON.

Mike enjoyed his close-knit, blended family with Kaye and her loving children.  Left to mourn Mike are stepchildren Gordon (Shelley) MacFadyen; Mike’s special daughter and friend Heather MacFadyen; and David (Lisa) MacFadyen.  Grandchildren, Alex (Kylie); Abbey (Kyle); Alyssa and Jack MacFadyen; Great Grandchildren Madeline and Rowan. Survived by Sisters-in-law Joan Cooke (Charlie) and Marie Dudley (John, deceased). Brother-in-law and Best Buddy Harold Younker, (Nan, deceased). Sisters-in-law Wendy Bonnell (Mark, deceased); Brenda Beaton (Wayne) and Shelley McGrath (Robert).

Mike’s parents were David and Frances (Molly) Jones-Ross.  Mike is survived by numerous relatives and friends.

Mike enjoyed life to the fullest and made homes in many cities in both Canada and United States.  Mike studied for his Civil Engineering degree at UNB.  Mike was a member of Transportation Engineers and held the Title of Professional Traffic Operations Engineer.  His much-loved achievement was his Master of Science in Civil Engineering at West Virginia University Graduate School. Mike was a faithful member of Christ Church Cherry Valley and mentored as Warden for many years.  He will be laid to rest in the CCCV Memorial Garden at a time to be later determined.

Donations, in memory of Mike, may be made to the QEH Foundation Fund or a charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life will take place at Belvedere Funeral Home, September 19th at 2:00 p.m.
