It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicholas Joseph Garland at home, surrounded by the love of his family, Thursday, April 23rd, 2026, at the age of 64 years.
Nick will be dearly missed by his loving wife Robin, loving children, Trevor (Aleisha), Matthew (Lisa), Candace (Chris), Jeff and Wanda; grandchildren, Reilly, Damon, Mason, Brady, Selena, Ryan and Nathan: mother, Glenda Blanchard (Louis – deceased); as well as many brothers and sisters. He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth and brother, Anthony.
Nick, affectionately known as Nicky, will be remembered for the deep love he had for his family and friends. He had a generous spirit and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His welcoming nature made everyone feel at home, and his kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Nick was the proud owner of Garland Construction, a business he built with dedication and hard work. He took great pride in everything the company achieved and, in the legacy, it will continue to carry forward.
He had a passion for trucks that were unmatched, and if someone found themselves without a vehicle, Nick was often the first to offer his own to help them out. His sense of humor was one of a kind, and his stories brought laughter and joy to countless moments—memories that will be cherished and missed deeply.
Nick’s grandsons held a special place in his heart. They will always remember the many ice cream trips they shared with “Grampy Garland.” Any chance Nick had to go out for ice cream, he happily took, turning simple moments into lasting memories.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, laughter, and love that will never be forgotten.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where a visitation will be held on Friday May 1st from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, May 2nd at 10:30 a.m.
