It is with heavy hearts the family of Patricia Lorraine MacDonald Monaghan, loving wife of Philip Monaghan, announces her passing which occurred on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Charlottetown, PE, on November 11, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Francis MacDonald and Jeanette (Dockendorff) Jones. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step father Roland Jones, brother Francis MacDonald and father-in-law Charles Monaghan.

She is survived by her husband Philip, mother-in-law Aletha Monaghan; her children Arielle MacDonald (Sasha Malo), Philip MacDonald (Emily White), and Chantelle MacDonald (Jacob McKillop); honourary daughter Danielle Gillespie (Jerima); grandchildren Nevaeh, Liam, Rozalyn, Jacob and Leah; siblings Leo MacDonald (Kim), Terry MacDonald, Kathy Keus (Mike), Linda Bain (John), Marlene MacDonald and Keith MacDonald; fur babies Chase and Mula, lizard Clementine and several nieces and nephews.

Patricia worked at Vessey Bulb Barn for several years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed her plants. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
