It is with heavy hearts, the family of Patricia “Elaine” Wooldridge, formerly of Covehead Road, wife of the late Clarence Wooldridge, announces her passing which occurred on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents William and Pearl (Vessey) Cooke, sister, Shirley (Robert) Bell, sisters-in-law, Margaret (Alden) Ellis, Marion (Melvin) Willis, Ellen Wooldridge and brother-in-law, Ross Wooldridge. Also predeceased by special friend, Lloyd MacDonald.
She was the loving aunt to Louise (Brian) Reid, Clarence (Shelly) Ellis, June (Gary) Conohan, Phyllis (Rick) Butt, Heather (Ibrahim) Momen, Robert (Liz Kirby, dec), Bill (Bonnie Docherty), John (Tracey), Brenda (Peter) DeGraaf, Michael (dec) (Marcela Davila), Kevin (Audrey), Ruth (Jamie) River, David (Michele) Willis, Alan (Cindy) Willis. Also survived by numerous grandnieces, grandnephews and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Elaine and Clarence were a fixture on the Covehead Road. Elaine worked for H.L. Sear Insurance for many years and upon her retirement she and Clarence opened their home to a Bed and Breakfast welcoming people from all over the world. Elaine was a long-term member of the Covehead Road Women's Institute where she participated in countless activities. Their biggest interest was harness racing. Even after Clarence's passing, Elaine still enjoyed going to the races
Arrangements have been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home with visitation Tuesday, July 7th from 4 -7 pm and funeral service Wednesday, July 8th at 11am in the Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the York Cemetery.
