Richard Alan Carruthers

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Richard (Dick) Carruthers on July 20, 2024, at the Garden Home in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Dick was born on October 29, 1947 in Fredericton New Brunswick.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda (Alteen) and their daughter Lisa (Joe) Puccia of Whitby, ON; only grandson, Logan; Brothers, Barry (Pam) and Hugh (Fumiko), Brother-in-laws Fred (June), George (Vera Lynn), Paul and John (Anna Marie) in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Helen Carruthers of Charlottetown.

Dick and his wife Linda proudly owned Action Press in Charlottetown for 36 years. He loved the many dogs and cats that they had over the years and friends that they made through the Abegweit Kennel Club. He had a passion for scenic photography in his later years which often found him driving around the Island taking photos.

Resting at the Belvedere Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27th. Visitation will take place 10am followed by the funeral service at 11am. Interment will take place at the St. Peter’s Cathedral Cemetery.
