It is with heavy hearts, the family of Robbie Cletus Hendricken, announce his passing which occurred on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Born on Aug 5, 1971, he was aged 53 years.
Robbie grew up on the family farm, caring for livestock and growing numerous produce. Through all those years he learned the value of hard work and resilience from a very early age. His love for the land and strong work ethic carried him through life, shaping him into the loving man he became.
Robbie took on the challenge of spending many years out in Alberta, working in the oil sands, where he dedicated himself to this new industry using the same determination that had been instilled in him from childhood. However, his love for his family took him back home after 12 years where he spent his last years working with potatoes - a crop that was both his livelihood and his passion.
Robbie will forever be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering love and dedication for his family.
He will forever be loved by his wife Jennifer (nee Laybolt) and remembered as a loving and caring father to Meranda (Jacob) and Bailey (Andrew).
Son of Frank (deceased) and Marjorie (nee Wisener) Hendricken. Son-in-law to Ambrose and Yvette (nee Nowlan) Laybolt.
Robbie is survived by siblings, Marie (Shawn) McKenna, Molly Ann (Dana) Thomas, Debbie (Wayne) Jay, Francis (Nadine) Hendricken, Corrine (Mike) Eldershaw, Larry Hendricken, Mark (Jenn) Hendricken. Brother-in-law Robbie (Sharon) Laybolt. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank Queens County RCMP, East River Fire Department and Island EMS for their care.
Robbie may have left the fields behind, but his legacy will continue to grow in the hearts of those he loved. Look into the sunset and see him and his father working the fields for eternity.
Care has been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church in Mount Stewart on Friday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m.
