Robert John Beamish Obituary

With sadness, the family of Robert (“Bob”) Beamish announce his passing at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, PEI on April 30th, 2026.


Left to mourn his passing are his beloved wife Dolores Griffin (his Emyvale sweetheart); his cherished daughters Christine (Scott) and Michelle (Ryad); and his treasured grandchildren Alexander and Elizabeth. Bob is also survived by his siblings: Joan (husband Guy, daughters Lisa and Justine), Carol (daughters Stephanie and Sarah), Pat (daughters Katie and Emma), and Mike (wife Carol, children Stacey, Greg, David, Paul, Scott), sister-in-law Tracey (daughters Megan and Abigail).. He will also be remembered by Dolores’ siblings: Loyola, Sally, Kevin (Diane), Gerard (Linda), Rita (Garth) and extended family.


He is predeceased by his parents Louis and Charlotte Beamish, his brother Stephen and brother-in-law Doug.


Bob had many passions throughout his life, including fishing and fly tying, hunting, stained glass, travel, cooking, and many others. Through these interests he formed lasting friendships and touched the lives of many. He will be especially missed by his closest friend, Kenny Thomson.


A service will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, in Emyvale, PEI on Friday May 8th at 2pm. Internment to follow at Saint Anne’s Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Emyvale Recreation Centre after the burial.
