It is with broken hearts that the family of Robert “Rob” Brake, loving and devoted partner to Krista Rusk, announces his passing which occurred on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Stephenville, NF, on May 23, 1970, he is the son of Leona (Lasaga) Brake and the late Kevin Brake. 

In addition to Krista and his mom, he is survived by his children Hailey Brake (Austen Clayton), Cole Brake, Bryan MacFarlane and Abigayle MacFarlane; siblings Kevin, Viola, Bill, David, Irene, Shirley (Gilly), Chrissy (Eric), Kenneth (Joan), Debbie (David) Irene, Stephen (Melanie) and Lorraine (Lester); his canine companions Rocky and Ruby; the extended Rusk family and his many nieces and nephews. 

Rob worked as a Manager at the Cardigan and Montague Liquor Stores and previous to that worked as the Front store Manager of Shoppers Drug Mart for over 25 years. He enjoyed playing golf, and playing on the Charlottetown Gentlemen’s Hockey League, for team KIA. Rob loved spending his free time hunting, fishing, camping with his family and riding his motorcycle.  He had a strong passion for music, he loved to sing and play his guitar. He was a devoted family man and friend; he will be greatly missed by so many.
