Robin Lyall Hood

April 15th, 1950 - December 23rd 2024

Peacefully on December 23rd Robin Hood Sr of Stratford, PEI age 74 passed at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Judy (Bower), loving father to Robin Hood Jr and Amanda Hood.  Grampy to Skye Monaghan and Neally Hood. Remembered by his many brothers and sisters, Elaine Fagan (Francis), Gaye Hood (Bonnie), Brian Hood, Billy Hood (Kathy), Leo Hood (Debbie), Westley Hood (Pauline), Orwest Hood, Clayton Hood and Joanne MacPherson (Gary); sisters-in-law Marlene May (Lloyd) and Lynn Bower; brother-in-law Barry Bower (Heather). Robin is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Will be sadly missed by his best pup Riggs AKA “pops boy”. Predeceased by parents Roy and Viola Hood. Brothers Harvey (Bella) and Wendal “Butch” (Pat) and his sister Sandra (Ted).

In his younger years, Robin pitched and played third base for the Charlottetown Fawcetts and enjoyed golf, hockey and fishing in his spare time. Robin worked for the PEI Liquor Control Commission for approximately 22 years and was loved by all for his great sense of humour.

Resting as the Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Sunday, December 29 from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral liturgy will be held from Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 30 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robin may be made to the PEI Humane Society, the Kidney Foundation or to the charity of choice.
