Roger B. Langille, age 69, of Charlottetown died on Tuesday, May 13 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by family, friends, and his beloved dog, Nikki.
Roger was a deeply loving, unapologetically honest, loyal, and curious man. He was the rare among us who never lost his childish enthusiasm. Fellini famously said, the most important thing in life is never to lose your childish enthusiasm. Roger fully agreed and loved that saying.
He had a beautiful and brilliant mind, and an unmatched sense of humour. Roger was a tremendous lawyer, who fiercely fought for fairness in his work as well as in his life. He loved life and bravely lived it to the fullest until the very end.
Roger’s wish was to leave us privately and quietly. In lieu of a service, his wish was for all who cared about him to have a glass of rye in celebration of the many shared memories.
His ashes will be buried in his hometown of Mahone Bay, a place that held a special place in his heart.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Roger’s care team at the Cancer Treatment Center, PEI Home Health Care and Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
