On April 12, Ronald Beecher Jones went to be with his Lord and Saviour, whom he loved and served for many years. He was 96. Ron was born near Steeves Mountain, NB and raised in the rural community of Havelock. Ron was the devoted husband of Helen Eileen (Davis) for 75 years.

They moved to Moncton shortly after their marriage where he worked briefly in insurance and for the T. Eaton Company. A career in finance began with Scotiabank, taking him from Moncton to Saint John, Charlottetown, Sherwood and Summerside.

After leaving the bank, Ron returned to Charlottetown where he began a second career working for small business owners, work he enjoyed immensely, before retiring a second time at 68 years old. Throughout their 60 years on the Island, Ron and Helen had a close association with the Charlottetown Bible Chapel, where they fostered many close friendships.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his sons Dwight (Janice) and Danny (Angie), his grandchildren Brennen, Shannon, Meaghan, and David, and his great-grandchildren Ewan, Elliott, Levi, Blakely and Sophie.

Ron had a familial connection with Peter and Corina Bolo of North Port, their sons Nathan and Matthew, and Helen and Roger Gallant of Cornwall, and their daughter Shana, and her son Jayden. Ron considered all them part of his family.

Ron was pre-deceased by his mother Ida, his brothers Otte and Stillman, his sister Iva and most recently by his beloved wife Helen.

We wish to extend our gratitude to the staff at Burnside Community Care Centre and to the staff at Garden Home for their care and support while Ron was a resident.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so through the Belvedere Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 30 @ 11AM. Reception to follow. Interment will be Friday, May 1 @ Fairhaven Memorial Garden in Moncton, NB at 11:00 AM.
