Ronald Penny

Surrounded by the love of his family and with an appreciation for a life well lived, the death of Ronald Penny occurred on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital at the age of 79 years. Ronald is survived by his wife, Maretta (nee Lanigan).

Ronald was born on August 14, 1946 to the late Cecil and Cecilia (nee Richards) Penny.

He will be dearly missed by his loving son, Ronald “Blair” Penny (Sherry).

He leaves behind his adored grandchild, Jaya Vester-Penny along with his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his daughter Pamela; and siblings, Barbara MacKenzie, Kathleen MacLean, Dorothy Penny and David Penny.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where a visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5 from 2-5 p.m.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, October 6 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a reception in the Belvedere Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment will then take place in Sherwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ronald may be made to Diabetes Canada.
