Ruby May Bernard

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Ruby May Bernard, wife of the late Andy Bernard, announces her passing which occurred on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Charlottetown, PE on June 25, 1950, she was raised lovingly by Mary MacLean and John MacLean. In addition to her husband, aunt and uncle she was predeceased by her sons Michael and Jeffrey.

She was the loving mother of Michelle Bernard, Anne Marie Doucette (Jason) and Andy Bernard Jr. (Krista); cherished grandmother of Josh Bernard, Julia Doucette and Jordyn Doucette.

Ruby worked from home, looking after many children over the years.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

The family would like to thank the staff at Unit 1 and Palliative Care team at the QEH for their compassionate care.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
