Sheila Ann Mitchell (nee McCarron), loving wife of Gerald Mitchell, passed peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Beach Grove Nursing Home.

Born in Montague, PE on November 30, 1947, she was the daughter of the late James and Cecilia (Steele) McCarron. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers and sisters.

Along with her husband of 56 years, Gerald, she is survived by her son James; her feline companions Smokey and Blue; siblings Agnes (Emile, deceased), Eileen and Kevin.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will take place in the spring.
