Shirley Belle Bruce

It is with heavy hearts the family of Shirley Belle Bruce, loving wife of William “Bill” George Bruce, announces her death which occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on November 29, 2025 with her loving family by her side. Born on March 3, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Irene (Murphy) Cotton.

In addition to her loving and devoted husband Bill, she is survived by her brothers Blair Cotton (Una) and Allison Cotton (Roxanne); sister-in-law to Blair Bruce, Joanne (deceased) (Carl Holmes); nephew Ryan Cotton, nieces Amanda Cotton (Josh Aitkens) and Courtney Cotton. Shirley was predeceased by Bill’s parents, Arthur and Evelyn Bruce.

Bill and Shirley enjoyed travelling, church, family and friends. Shirley was an employee at the CIBC branch in Summerside.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Thursday, December 4 from 4-7 p.m. Her funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 5 at 10 a.m.

Interment will take place in Kingsboro, PE.
