On Friday, January 23, 2026  Sister Patricia Smith CND (Sister Catherine of Cordona) passed away peacefully at Andrews of Charlottetown.

Patricia was born in Middleton, PE on June 21, 1932 to parents Eugene and Janie (Clarkin) Smith.

She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Sister Catherine, Margaret Noberga, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews as well as the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame.

In addition to her parents, Sister Patricia was predeceased by her siblings, Edwin, George, Francis, Russell, James Charles, and Sister Mary, CSM, and brother-in-law Clive Noberga.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. The visitation that had been planned for Tuesday has now been cancelled due to the weather conditions.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on January 28, 2026  at 10:00am with church celebrant Father Robert Coady. The service will be livestreamed via the following link Livestream.  A reception will follow the funeral mass in the church hall.

Sister Patricia’s interment will take place at a later date in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
