Stephen “Steve” David Campbell, age 52, of Summerside, PEI, passed away at home on June 24, 2026.

Born October 31, 1973, he was raised in Sherwood and later made Summerside his home. He was the proud and devoted father of Maggie and Samantha Campbell, whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his daughters, Maggie and Samantha; his mother, Margaret “Margie” Campbell; his sister, Heather MacInnis (Roger); and many friends, family members, and colleagues. He was predeceased by his father, Boyd Campbell.

Steve worked hard, played harder, and had a big personality and a heart to match. He was fiercely loyal, generous with his time, and always there for the people he cared about.

A respected member of the construction industry, he began his career with Curran & Briggs in 1999, where he progressed from driveway estimator to senior estimator, project manager, and Vice President. His work in major site development and municipal servicing earned him the respect of those he worked alongside throughout his career.

He also dedicated more than 20 years to the PEI Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association, serving on its board in roles from Director to President.

His commitment to Summerside extended well beyond his professional life. For 14 years, beginning in 2012, he devoted countless hours to minor sports and the Summerside United Soccer Club, where he coached and held many roles, including serving as President for 13 years. He took great pride in mentoring young athletes and watching them grow, both on and off the field.

He will be remembered for his big heart, his strong friendships, his unconditional love for his daughters, and the lasting impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him.

In lieu of donations and flowers, Steve’s wish would be to have others perform a random act of kindness in his honour. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home. There will be no wake or funeral services. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
