The death occurred suddenly at home on November 5th, 2024, with his loving wife Geraldine at his side, of Sterling David Banks. He is survived by his loving son Ira (Chantelle) and his pride and joy grandsons, Cain and Presley. He leaves behind his broken-hearted mother, Freda Banks (predeceased by his father Cody). Much loved brother of Derwin (Bernadine), Kathy Rand (Barclay), Steven (Sharon), Jim (Michelle), Carolyn Watts (Dale) and Karen McQuaid (Austin). Favourite uncle to his 20 nieces and nephews, as well 11 great-nieces and nephews. Survived by his sisters-in-law, Debbie Doucette (Terry) and Donna Joseph (Lloyd). Predeceased by his in-laws, Gerald and Betty Shephard and nephew, Jesse Gerald Doucette.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home with visiting hours Tuesday, November 12th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, November 13th at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Sherwood Cemetery. By Sterling’s request, donations to the IWK Foundation or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
