Sterling Kenneth Younker

Sterling Kenneth Younker, loving and devoted husband of 66 years to Roberta Louise (Strang) Younker, passed peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the Beach Grove Home surrounded by family. Born in Charlottetown, PE, on December 19, 1940, he was the son of the late Lowell and Fern (Coles) Younker.

In addition to his wife Roberta, he is survived by his children Steven Younker, Lisa (Dean) MacEachern, Becky (Robbie) Duncan and Robbie (Lori) Younker; grandchildren Nicole (Logan), Emily (Keir), Rachael, Nathan and Davis; great grandchildren Jackson, Abigail and Lillian; sisters Brenda Storring and Judy Stewart; brothers and sisters-in-law Arthur (Marie) Strang, Mary Ellen (Marven) Moore and Bonnie (Tom) Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.

Sterling was also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Roy and Elise (Barbour) Strang.

Sterling was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He had many interests; woodworking, landscaping and attending card parties throughout the North Shore community were among them.   

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, from where his funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9 at 2:30 p.m. The funeral service will be livestreamed and may be viewed via the following link Livestream.  If you experience difficulty accessing the livestream, please call 1-877-895-2739.  Interment will take place at West Covehead United Church Cemetery at a later date.

The family wants to pass along their sincere appreciation to the Staff at Beach Grove for the tremendous care that Sterling received over the past year.
