Sylvia Doris (Phillips) Jenkins

Sylvia Doris Jenkins, loving and devoted wife of 61 years to Ron Jenkins, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Charlottetown, PE in December 1945, she was the daughter of the late Wendell and Doris (Stockman) Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two brothers, John and Basil, and John’s wife, Jean (Cousins).

In addition to Ron, she is survived by her children Jennifer, Tracey (Stephen) Allen, and Jeff (Mary Lou); grandchildren David Allen (Danika), Joshua Allen (Micayla), Sam, Ella, and Kate Jenkins; great grandchildren Maggie, Remi, Daisy, Parker, and Cooper Allen; sister-in-law Velma (Cousins) Phillips; and several nieces and nephews. 

Sylvia was a well-known soloist, choir member, and member of Grace x3. She leaves a legacy of music and devotion to family. She was an avid gardener, excellent cook, and her happy place was the beach. She was always in style and was in her element while managing a popular clothing store.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Sunday, September 14 from 2-5 p.m. Her funeral service will be held from Zion Presbyterian Church on Monday, September 15 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the Zion Presbyterian Church.
