Surrounded by the love of his family, the death of Wendell Dalvay MacDonald occurred on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at the Prince Edward Home at the age of 86 years. Wendell is survived by his loving wife Heather (nee Howatt).
Wendell was born on August 19, 1939 to the late Percy and Emily (nee Sellar) MacDonald.
He will be missed by his loving children, Kathryn MacDonald (Wayne Taylor), Wendy Flemming (Mike), Trevor (Adaluz), and Susan Roggeveen; and stepchildren, Peter (Valerie) and Heidi MacPhee.
Wendell leaves behind his grandchildren, Corey Frizzell (Suzie), Jessica (Craig MacMillan), Jared (Nicole) and Jordan Flemming, Krystle Taylor (Luke), Nicole Gallant (Jason), Danielle May (Alex) and Brittany MacDonald (DJ Flynn), Ryan (Sarah), Mitchell (Sarah Ellen), Morgan (Jenna), and Carter (Jackie) Roggeveen; step-grandchildren, Claire and Audrey MacPhee and Malcolm and Murray Mitchell; as well as eighteen great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his brothers, Lea (Colleen), Mervin (Debbie) and Terry (Gayle); sisters, Shirley Pollard and Donna (Kent) Gorveatt; and sister-in-law, Jessie MacPhail (Neil – deceased).
In addition to his parents, Wendell was predeceased by his siblings, Oliver, Borden, Neil, Willard, Lomer, Dorothy, Hazel, Joyce, Audrey, and Sandra.

Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where a visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20th from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. with a funeral in the funeral home chapel at 3:30 p.m. The funeral service will be livestreamed and it may be viewed via the following link Remembering Wendell. Interment will then take place in Churchill Cemetery.
