It is with heavy hearts the family of William “Bill” Robert Dalziel, loving husband of Lorena Marie (Newson) Dalziel, announces his peaceful passing which occurred on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the Provincial Palliative Care. Born in Charlottetown, PE on April 22, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert and Helen (Collings) Dalziel.
In addition to his loving and devoted wife he is survived by his sister Margaret Younker; his brother John Dalziel (Cheryl); sisters and brother – in -law Sylvia MacGillivray, Cedric Newson (Wilma), Linda Coles, Donna MacDonald, Janice McKenna and Rosalie Cudmore (Leonard); nieces and nephews Alex (Laurel), Chris (Amy), Brennan (Tanis), Andy, Elizabeth, Bobby (Elise), Maggie (Cody) and Nick; several grand nieces and nephews; and his canine companion Harley.
He was predeceased by his parents, sister-in-law Beryl Cullen (John); brothers-in-law Barry MacGillivray, Glennie Coles, Gerry MacDonald, and Donnie McKenna.
Bill was the owner and operator of Dalziel’s Auto Body for 50 years. He was a huge car enthusiast. He loved Old Home Week, Horse Racing, his Montreal Canadiens, and Toronto Blue Jays. Bill was an active member of First Baptist Church. He will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Friday, August 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. His funeral service will be held from First Baptist Church, 235 Prince Street, Charlottetown on Saturday, August 12 at 11 a.m.

Interment will take place in Sherwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or to the Provincial Palliative Care.
