William "Darragh" Mogan Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the family of Darragh Mogan announces his passing on October 12, 2025, peacefully at his home in Charlottetown, P.E.I., aged 79.

Born in Toronto, he was the beloved son of Wilf and Connie and brother to Michael. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Darragh devoted his career to Veterans Affairs Canada, where he was respected for his integrity, compassion, and gentle humour.

A dedicated volunteer, Darragh gave freely of his time to causes that reflected his love of music, nature, and fairness. He sang with the Canada Remembers Chorus, served on the P.E.I. Symphony board, supported the NDP of P.E.I., and helped protect the annual smelt run with the Ellen’s Creek Watershed Group. His commitment to community and compassion for others were central to his life.

At home, he found joy in simple things - his garden, homemade jams and mustard pickles, and sharing laughter with family and friends.

Lovingly remembered by his brother Michael Sr.; sons Michael, Brendan, Darcy and Liam; grandchildren Aidan, Sean, Alex, Dylan, Riley and Ava; partner Hui and her daughter Tina.

In lieu of flowers, please honour Darragh’s memory through kindness, a donation, or by raising a glass in his honour.
