It is with heavy hearts the family of Mike “Pius,” age 75, announces his passing which occurred peacefully on January 16, 2023, with his family by his side, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre. He is survived by his children Michael (Lori) and Marie (Gerard) of Souris, PE. Proud Grandfather of Alex (Sydney) Fitzpatrick, Sean Fitzpatrick, James Maccormack, and Shelby (Jeremy) Mclean. He is survived by his siblings; Edith Dewar, Joyce (Dean), and Sandy (Gladys) Fitzpatrick. Mike is predeceased by his brothers, Paul and Ray. After military service, Mike spent his career working as a counsellor with Addiction Services. He enjoyed sailing, skiing, days at the beach and reading. He was a big fan of football. Mike “Pius” will be missed by his many family and friends. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care of Belvedere Funeral Home.
